About Me

Choosing a therapist that fits your needs and values can be a daunting experience. Do you go with a friend’s recommendation or a therapist that practices a particular type of therapy? Often the key to success is a mix of both with rapport being essential. I offer clients a warm and relaxed space (I work from home) where clients can feel at ease to delve into their current life challenges. I also offer phone counselling. My approach is explorative while also being practical and solution focused. I will not be pulling out crystals or analysing your dreams. I offer evidence- based strategies that have the weight of science behind them. I generally use supportive counselling to enable optimum adjustment and a feeling of control over your situation. I introduce cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy techniques into sessions where appropriate. Client goals are established in the initial sessions and take-home strategies are provided so that these can be assimilated into the client’s life.
