I am a scientist-practitioner with a background in health psychology and a special interest in stress management. Through my work in hospitals, health promotion agencies, medical centres, youth services and mental health clinics, I have had the privilege of assisting people of all ages to improve their health and wellbeing using a range of psychological strategies.
Whether it be related to relationships, health problems, work challenges, traumatic experiences or unhelpful beliefs, not one of us is without stress. As a researcher, author, university lecturer and busy mother of two running her own business, I have certainly had countless opportunities to practise stress management skills myself!
Fortunately, there are many evidence-based techniques to choose from, which can relieve stress or help to manage the anxiety, addictions, poor concentration, relationship strain, sleep problems or depression that can come along with it.
As a Mindstar Psychologist, my role is to introduce you to cognitive-behavioural and mind-body therapies and to support you not just in coping with stressful times, but also in preparing for them, by developing your emotional intelligence, resilience, and remarkable ability to consciously create your life.
